Compost Bags Waste Management will pick up yard waste that is placed in approved paper compost bags or in trash cans marked with an approved sticker, available at the Village Office. The bags are available at your local hardware store. Compost is picked up on the same schedule as your garbage collection. Brush Pickup The DPW provides for the collection of brush, branches and leaves. The following guidelines must be followed before your yard waste will be collected: First, all limbs, branches and brush must be stacked neatly at the curb with but-ends facing the same direction. Piles are limited to 10 feet in length. Individual limbs may not exceed 4 inches in diameter at base, 2 inches at leafy end. Limbs smaller than 1 inch must be bagged. The DPW will vacuum leaves in the fall. Please make sure that there are no foreign materials in the leaf piles. Limbs, branches
and brush from complete tree maintenance by a homeowner are the responsibility
of the homeowner or their contracted professional. Recycling The Village has a contract with our solid waste hauler to pick up recyclable items. Recycle bins are available at the Village Office at a cost of $5.00 each. Recyclables are picked up on the same schedule as the garbage collection. Garbage Collection Garbage collection is done by a private solid waste hauler, Waste Management, and is billed to residents and businesses by the Village.
